WHAT IS THE CRITERIA TO BE NOMINATED AND INDUCTED INTO THE RI RADIO AND TELEVISON HALL OF FAME?
The criteria is fluid based on the persons role in our industry. We look for those that have made an impact with their presence in their roles)s) throughout their career. We do seek people that have had at least 20 years of consistent service in our Market,
HOW DO I NOMINATE SOMEONE FOR INDUCTION INTO THE RADIO AND TELEVISION HALL OF FAME?
Email us at rtv@ rirtvhof.com is that my e mail?? State the nominees’ name, as much work history in the Radio and Television industries that you know, and how many years total.
Additionally, any info about their service to the community and other outstanding information about their career.
WHEN DO NOMINATIONS NEED TO BE IN?
We gather nominations throughout October and November of every year for the following year’s class.
WHAT IF SOMEONE HAS ALREADY BEEN NOMINATED?
That’s great, we still want many different people to submit the nominee’s name and info to the committee.
WHEN IS THE CLASS DECIDED?
Usually after many interactions amongst the RIRTVHOF Committee, we settle on a class by the end of February.
HOW IS IT ANNOUNCED WHO IS INDUCTED EACH YEAR?
We use all our media partners and the RI Broadcasters Association to spread the word of the class each year. Always tune in to your favorite Radio and Television station and website to see the announcements in March.
WHEN AND WHERE IS THE INDUCTION CEREMONY AND DINNER GALA?
It is always in the last week of September on a Thursday evening. 5:30pm Cocktail reception and networking catch up time! 7p Dinner, 8p Program... We strive to be finished by 9:15p every year. Check the RIRTVHOF web site for details each year.
WHO CAN ATTEND THE DINNER GALA?
Everyone is invited to join and share in the excitement each year. Tickets can be purchased from April Through September 23rd most years, Tables of TEN offer a 10% discount. Log on to rirtvhof/tickets to purchase tickets or reserve a table. This has often been a sold-out event.
